St. Vincent’s House is calling on the Galveston community to help fight hunger this season through its ongoing Food Drive, a vital initiative that feeds more than 1,000 individuals every week. The organization is asking residents, businesses, and local groups to come together and donate non-expired food items to support neighbors and families in need.
The food drive is part of St. Vincent’s House’s 70-year legacy of service and compassion in the Galveston area. Donations of nutritious, shelf-stable food help sustain the nonprofit’s mission to ensure that no one in the community goes hungry.
Most Needed Items
- Canned proteins (tuna, chicken, beans, etc.)
- Lentils, pasta, and rice
- Ready-made meals
- Shelf-stable milk and yogurt
- Soup
Donors are reminded to avoid expired food items to ensure all contributions can be safely distributed. To make giving even easier, community members can scan the QR code on the flyer to order directly from the Amazon Wish List, sending items straight to St. Vincent’s House.
The organization’s outreach programs rely heavily on community participation, and every can, bag, or box donated goes directly to helping families put food on the table. By contributing, residents can make a direct impact in building a stronger, more caring Galveston.
