Touch a Truck returns to Texas City on Oct. 17 with more than 100 vehicles, family activities, entertainment and a new Zen Zone at 6th Street Community Plaza.

Texas City’s Touch a Truck event returns Saturday, Oct. 17, with more than 100 vehicles for children to climb on and explore.

The free event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 6th Street in Texas City. Along with the lineup of vehicles, families can enjoy pumpkin decorating, obstacle courses, bouncy houses, vendors, food trucks, music, giant corn boxes and games.

The event also will feature monster truck rides, face painting, balloon animals and $5 haunted house visits at Terror Isle.

A new addition this year is the Zen Zone at the 6th Street Community Plaza. The area will offer free bottles of cold water, massages, a jazz concert and other opportunities for visitors to relax during the event.

Touch a Truck is free to attend, while haunted house visits at Terror Isle cost $5. The event is designed to give children a chance to explore a wide range of vehicles while families take part in activities and entertainment throughout the day.
