Clear Lake Shores to Celebrate National Night Out Oct. 6

Clear Lake Shores residents are invited to join the City of Clear Lake Shores, the Clear Lake Shores Police Department, the Kemah Fire Department and the Clear Lake Shores Civic Club for National Night Out on Tuesday, October 6.

The community event will begin at 6 p.m. at Shell Bottom Park. Organizers say the evening will include community fun, opportunities to connect with neighbors and crime prevention awareness.

A golf cart parade to Shell Bottom Park will lead into the celebration. Parade lineup begins at 5:30 p.m. at Jarboe Park, with the procession led by the Clear Lake Shores Police Department and Kemah Fire Department.

Attendees can enjoy complimentary hot dogs and Frito pie provided by the Civic Club and served by Art and his crew of helpers. Children will also have the opportunity to take photos with members of the Clear Lake Shores Police Department and Kemah Fire Department, along with their fire truck.

The event is intended to bring residents together and strengthen community partnerships. Residents who want to participate in the golf cart parade should gather at Jarboe Park for the 5:30 p.m. lineup before heading to Shell Bottom Park.

National Night Out will offer Clear Lake Shores neighbors a chance to meet local public safety personnel, share a meal and spend time together as a community.
