The League City Volunteer Fire Department is inviting the community to its 3rd Annual Open House on Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The free, family-friendly event will take place at the fire field located at 911 N. Kansas Ave. and offers residents a behind-the-scenes look at the important work performed by League City’s volunteer firefighters.

Attendees can enjoy a variety of interactive activities and live demonstrations throughout the day. Highlights include a car fire demonstration, a vehicle extraction demo, guided tours, and kid-friendly games. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore emergency response vehicles up close, including a fire engine, ladder truck, ambulance, rescue boat, and high-water truck.

Families are encouraged to bring children who are curious about firefighting equipment and emergency response operations. Guests will have the chance to meet local volunteer firefighters, ask questions, and take photos with first responders and apparatus.

The open house also serves as a recruitment opportunity for those interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter. Department members will be available to share information about training, service commitments, and how residents can get involved in protecting the League City community.

Organizers say the event is designed to both educate and entertain while strengthening community connections.

Whether you are considering volunteer service, have children who love fire trucks, or simply want to spend a fun afternoon learning about public safety, the League City Volunteer Fire Department Open House promises plenty to see and do.
