League City Animal Care is participating in the nationwide Clear the Shelters campaign throughout August, offering 50% off adoption fees to help more homeless pets find loving families.
The adoption event runs Aug. 1–31 and is part of the annual Clear the Shelters. The campaign encourages pet adoption while helping shelters make room for animals during one of the busiest times of the year.
As part of the promotion, League City Animal Care is offering 50% off adoption fees for all adoptable pets. Most adoption fees are regularly $75. Every adopted pet is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before going to its new home.
Summer is often one of the most challenging seasons for animal shelters due to increased pet intakes and overcrowding. City officials encourage residents who have been considering adding a pet to their family to visit the shelter and meet the animals available for adoption.
Whether you’re looking for a playful puppy, a laid-back cat, or a loyal companion, League City Animal Care invites the community to help give a shelter pet a second chance while supporting efforts to reduce overcrowding.
