The Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce will welcome internationally acclaimed actress, artist and philanthropist Jane Seymour as the keynote speaker for the 19th Annual Galveston Women’s Conference on Friday, Sept. 11, at the Moody Gardens Convention Center.

This year’s conference, themed “Into the Blue: Mind | Body | Spirit,” will bring together women from across the region for a day focused on inspiration, empowerment, wellness and connection. The event is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Seymour, an Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actress, has built a career spanning film, television, Broadway, writing, art and philanthropy. She is perhaps best known for starring as Dr. Michaela Quinn in the television series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Her film credits include Somewhere in Time and the James Bond film Live and Let Die.

Outside of acting, Seymour is an author, entrepreneur and artist and is known for her “Open Hearts” philosophy, which emphasizes love, courage, connection and authenticity.
