The 52nd Annual Dickens on the Strand returns to Galveston this December with three days of Victorian-inspired fun, immersive entertainment, costumed characters, holiday shopping, and family festivities. This beloved tradition, hosted by the Galveston Historical Foundation, brings thousands of visitors to the historic Strand District each year—and 2025 promises to be one of the most exciting celebrations yet.

The festival kicks off with Fezziwig’s Friday on December 5 from 5 to 9 p.m., featuring free general admission, lively performances, bustling street vendors, and cheerful holiday spirit throughout downtown Galveston. Paid admission begins Saturday, December 6, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and continues Sunday, December 7, from 12 to 6 p.m.

Guests can choose from several ticket options this year, including special VIP upgrades and exclusive packages. General Festival Admission provides entry to all stages, vendors, entertainment, and festivities—with a special perk: visitors wearing Victorian costumes receive half off gate admission. Early bird pricing is currently available at $20 for adults and $15 for youth (ages 7–12), while children 6 and under get in free.

For an upgraded experience, the Buckingham Palace VIP Admission includes two-day entry, private entertainment, balcony access, restrooms, commemorative medallion, and more. VIP tickets are $100 for adults and $40 for youth.

The most exclusive option—the highly limited Dickens Golden Ticket—grants access to every Dickens event, plus VIP benefits, a commemorative medallion, and a parade carriage ride. These exclusive tickets are $1,000 and sell out quickly each year.

With its charming Victorian atmosphere, world-class entertainment, and unique holiday experiences, Dickens on the Strand remains one of Texas’ most cherished seasonal festivals. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets early and dress in period attire to fully enjoy the magic of this historic holiday celebration.
